Logie Woods

Profile

Logie Woods consists of approximately 95 acres of mixed age forestry.
The area of woodland is part of the former Elphinstone estate at Pitcaple, Inverurie, Aberdeenshire.
The woods are privately owned and maintained and are stocked with a variety of trees of varying ages. A diverse wildlife population also inhabit the woodlands ranging from birds to deer.
Sporting rights are in the provision of the owners and permissions for a variety of activities may be leased, from clay pigeon and rough game shooting to hunting for Roe deer.
The owners can be contacted for the appropriate permissions to be granted for any of these activities.

Mission

It is the aim of the owners of Logie Woods to cultivate and maintain this area of woodland in an environmentally sensitive way.
The woodland area commands splendid views over Bennachie and has historically been part of the landscape for many years.
Public access is available through the woodland areas by means of carefully maintained pathways. The owners believe they have a duty of care to preserve and maintain the woodlands for future generations and as such, any visitors are asked to enjoy the area, follow the Countryside Code, and please treat it with respect
